Since childhood, from favorite fairy tales, we know that every king should have a beautiful castle. It would be logical to begin your journey with the royal palace. Palais Royal de Bruxelles is located in the center of the capital, in the Brussels park, and it is the official residence of the Belgian monarch. But to tell the truth, it is used by the king mainly for official events.
2. Belgian chocolate

3. “The Pissing Girl”
We all know about one of the most famous sights of Brussels, the symbol of the city – “The Pissing Boy”. It turns out that there is another similar fountain. Here, in Brussels, there is a fountain-sculpture “The Pissing girl”.
4. Monument “Atomium”
This architectural structure is built as a symbol of peaceful use of atomic energy. The monument is a model of an iron molecule, magnified 165 billion times. Inside this monument there is one of the fastest elevators in Europe.
5. Mini Europe Park
It is a park of miniatures at the foot of the above-mentioned Atomium monument. In the park called “Mini Europe” there are copies of the most famous buildings in Europe. Their scale is 1:25. Here are about 80 European cities and 350 buildings in an area of 24,000 square meters.
6. The European Quarter
Since 1958, Brussels is the capital of the European Community. Here there are the headquarters of the European Commission. A whole quarter was built especially for the institutions of the European Union.
7. The Nemo Swimming Pool 33
One of the deepest pools in the world, was built for scuba diving. There are two platforms installed at different depths – 5 and 10 meters. And also there is a well here for diving to a depth of almost 35 meters. In the pool there are also artificial caves and windows for observation of divings.
8. The Grand Place
This is one of the most beautiful squares not only in Belgium, but also in Europe as a whole. It is located in the center of Brussels. Here are two of the most important sights of Belgium – the Town Hall and the Bread House. Every two years, in August, the area is decorated with the most famous in Europe flower carpet. Its area is 1800 square meters.
9. The Basilica of the Holy Blood of Christ
As you may have guessed, the remnants of the holy blood of Christ are kept here. Which, according to the legend, were brought from the crusade the Count of Flanders Diederick. The blood of the Lord is stored in a luxuriously decorated casket. Every year on the day of the Ascension of Christ this casket is carried in the course of the solemn procession through the whole of Bruges.
10. The Watchtower Belfort
Staying here at this watching tower of 83 meters high, you can enjoy a panorama of the city of Bruges and its environs. On the ground floor of the building there is a museum of archeology.
