When Napoleon built the summer palace in Biarritz, the Spanish rulers followed his example and turned the sleepy coastal village into their residence. Thus San Sebastian appeared, a city full of villas, palaces and hotels.
Now it is also known as a cultural and gastronomic center: the city has such a concentration of restaurants from the “Red Michelin Guide” that it will take at least a week to get around all of them. It is better to start with Arzak, a family establishment that offers a new look at the Basque cuisine.
4. San Miguel de Allende, Mexico
The city with the long name San Miguel de Allende is located in central Mexico and attracts couples in love with its colonial architecture and historical sights that are protected by UNESCO. The ancient local cathedrals, painted in mottled shades of red, pink and yellow are worth visiting!
The city is also considered to be the center of the arts. It is worth to visit several local galleries located in Fábrica La Aurora, a former factory that has become an art cluster.

They can choose more remote streets – all of them sooner or later lead you to some amazing views.
