10 Weirdest Bars and Nightclubs in the World (Part 1)

Before we go on a trip, we make a list of places that must be visited: natural wonders, historical monuments, architectural sights. But sometimes it is useful to get off the beaten track and visit equally spectacular, but not too well known to a wide range of tourists places. In this article we will introduce you some bars and nightclubs, which are considered the strangest on this planet. So, are you ready to have a look at them?

10. Icebar by Icehotel, SWEDEN

Currently, there are already several “ice bars” in the world, but the very first, which served as a prototype for others, is located in the village of Jukkasjärvi in Sweden. All visitors to this bar are dressed in warm clothes, as the temperature here is always below zero, and furniture, walls and interior items are made entirely of ice. And try to guess which drink is the most popular in this icebar?

9. Miniscule of Sound, ENGLAND

This club deserves several places in the Guinness Book of Records. Firstly, it is probably the smallest institution of such kind in the world: its area is no more than 5 square meters. Secondly, this club roams from the district to the district, from city to city, so if you were lucky enough to see it today, it’s not a fact that you can return there tomorrow. And thirdly, it’s not a night club at all, but a good parody of the modern entertainment industry, in which all visitors become its unwitting accomplices.

8. H.R Giger Skeleton Bar, SWITZERLAND

All visitors of this bar notice the undoubted similarity of its design to the atmosphere of the sci-fi thriller “Alien”. And this is not accidental, because the design of this bar was developed with the direct participation of Hans Rudolf Giger, famous for his design work for this epic. The room and furniture of the bar seem to be made from the remains of skeletons of alien monsters and are densely imbued with the spirit of cosmic horror, darkness and aggression.

7. Alux Restaurant and Lounge, MEXICO

To visit this club, you have to go underground. The restaurant is located in the cave system, and visitors can move between its underground halls, admiring the colorfully lit arches, the color of which dynamically changes with every movement. This is one of the few places in the world where you can feel the ancient forces that seem to exist here.

6. Hobbit House, PHILIPPINES

This bar was opened in 1973 by a man who loved the novel “The Lord of the Rings” so much that he decided to recreate it in his real life. The whole room is decorated in the style of the Tolkien universe, and the staff consists entirely of Lilliputians, representing the people of the Hobbits. Another attraction of this bar is a wonderful live music, which includes the best jazz, folk and blues works.

The rest part of the most strange bars in the world you can see soon. Do not miss second part of this article!
