Today we are going to take our last trip around the most beautiful places around the world. We have already been to ninety of them and it is our last meeting. Of course, there are much more than just 100 beautiful places around the globe worth visiting at least once in lifetime.
But our choice is done and we are ready to set on our journey.
By the way, these places can be added to your wish list of places to visit for the coming winter holidays.
Engadin Valley, Switzerland
It is a beautiful place where you can enjoy the pure alpine air. Valley Engadin is divided into two parts. Upper Engadin is an area for outdoor activities: skiing, skating, kayaking, diving, windsurfing. Lower Engadin is a quieter place that is not so popular among tourist, but with a lot of picturesque landscapes and panoramas to admire.
Mount Roraima, Venezuela
Mount Roraima is notable for the fact that its top is a huge 30 km plateau. A large cloud is constantly hanging over Roraima, and if you reach the top, you can look down on it. The constant cloudiness around the mountain is attributed to the fact that the Amazon, Orinoco and Essequibo rivers originate at the foot of the Roraima.
Las Vegas, United States
What happened in Vegas stays in Vegas! It is a city of eternal celebration, gambling, lights, luxury and extravagance. So many attractions, shops and entertainment places per square meter you will not find anywhere else in the world. We recommend to visit this place to those who feel like they are being dragged down by the routine – Las Vegas will bring you some holiday mood.
Phi Phi Islands, Thailand
Phi Phi Islands are four tiny islands and two main ones: Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Ley. But only Phi Phi Don is inhabited, and it is noteworthy that the whole island is completely pedestrian. It was right here where the famous film “The Beach” with DiCaprio in the main role was shot. If you are missing eternal summer, white beaches and a lazy, but exotic holiday, Phi Phi is an ideal choice.
Statue of Christ the Redeemer, Brazil
It is one of the most famous buildings in the world. Many people in our country often saw it in the screensavers of popular Brazilian TV shows. The height of the statue is 38 meters (eight of which is occupied by the pedestal), the span of Christ’s hands is 28 meters, and weight is 1 145 tons. The statue is made even more impressive by the location – Christ the Redeemer stands on the hill. By the way, the monument is included in the list of seven new wonders of the world.
Partnachklamm Gorge, Germany
Partnahklamm is a gorge about one kilometer in length through which the river Partnakh flows. The walls of the gorge reach 68 meters in height. Hundreds of small streams run along them. It is thanks to them that unusual ice sculptures are formed. In Partnachklamme you can walk not only along the bottom of the gorge, but also along one of the slopes to see all the beauty from a height.
Trevi Fountain, Italy
The largest fountain in Rome was built by Baroque architect Nicola Salvi. It adjoins the facade of the Palazzo Poli, that makes it seem as if they form a single whole. Look at this magnificent building is worth it for two reasons. Firstly, the fountain is really very beautiful, it is the largest baroque fountain in the world. And secondly, there is a belief that if you throw a coin into it, you will definitely return to Rome.
Paris Disneyland, France
Disneyland is a joy for children, but believe us, even adults will be fascinated by the fabulous atmosphere of this fairy-tale place. Disneyland Paris has five theme parks grouped around Sleeping Beauty Castle, a symbol of Disney’s studio. In the Land of Adventure, you can wander through the mazes, visit a pirate ship or the house of Robinson in a tree. In the Borderland you can ride a roller coaster and other attractions. On the main road in the USA, you can have a bite at one of the dozens of cozy cafes and buy souvenirs. In the Land of Discoveries, the fictional future of Jules Verne is waiting for its visitors, and the Land of Fantasy, is an ideal place for youngest visitors – here they can see and shake hand of their favorite cartoons characters.
Bonifacio is one of the most visited cities in Corsica. The Mediterranean Sea, a rich historical past, which is reflected in architecture, beaches and a wide range of entertainment – this is what attracts tourists from all over the world. It is impossible to imagine Bonifacio without rocks, so we advise you to go on a boat trip and look at caves and grottoes, as well as the famous staircase of the King of Aragon from the ship’s side.
Corinth Canal, Greece
The Corinth Canal is the narrowest shipping channel in the world. It connects the bay of the same name with the Gulf of Saronikos, that allowed the ships in the XIX century to cut their way by 400 kilometers. Today, the channel is infrequently used for its intended purpose, because it is too narrow, but this place is often chosen by the tourists. From May to September, anyone can take a jump with insurance from a road or rail bridge over the canal. Bungee jumping is a popular attraction. Usually extreme lovers choose the jump to the maximum length – with the water touching his head.
Machu Picchu, Peru
A city in the sky, a city among the clouds, a lost city of the Incas – Machu Picchu is often awarded with such epithets. This is the most famous, but at the same time, the most mysterious cultural monument of the Incas, the existence of which no one suspected until the beginning of the XX century.
