Waitomo caves are about 150 branches and limestone grottoes, many of which can be reached only by boat. As scientists believe, they are about two million years old. The most famous and popular cave among tourists is the Grotto of the Fireflies, which vaults are often compared to the starry sky. All thanks to the huge number of fireflies Arachnocampa Luminosa, which can only be found in New Zealand.

Lake Flathead in Montana is the largest reservoir in America, it covers an area equal to 510 km ². In addition, this is the most transparent lake in the world. It seems that it is shallow, but in fact its depth can reach 113 meters. This place is very popular among lovers of fishing, because in clear water it is always very easy to see fish like trout and perch.

Perhaps you’ve heard about the famous ice hotel in Quebec. It is believed that this is one of the most romantic places on the planet, so hundreds (if not thousands) of couples annually come here to marry. It is entirely made of 20 tons of snow and ice. Every year in December it is being rebuilt again to receive the first guests in early January. Known as the City of Love, Dalat in Vietnam is an incredibly romantic place.You can enjoy beautiful waterfalls, poetic landscapes, rich history and culture of this place. And a special place among this is the Pongur waterfall. 100 meters wide and 40 in height, Pongur consists of 7 levels and flows into a small lake. The waterfall is surrounded by 25 hectares of untouched rainforest.

We continue to talk about waterfalls. Another favorite among all the tourists and worthy visiting place on this list is the Mosbridge waterfall in California. Water, passing through the volcanic stone walls, flows gently — as a result, the stone is covered with a thick layer of moss. A year-round flow makes the flora of this place very unusual.

Baatara passes through three natural bridges formed in the Jurassic period. Therefore, the waterfall has one more name — “The Cave of Three Bridges”.

You can see an unusual rock on the northern coast of the Southeast Island in New Zealand, not far from the Tasmanian Gulf. The granite rock really looks like an apple, which was neatly cut with a knife into two halves. Thousands of tourists come here to make an impressive shot with a rock reminiscent of the scenery for the film about the Giants.

Cagno Cristales, Colombia

Canyo-Kristales is called by locals the river of five colors — the water slides over the multicolored mosses, and creates a complete illusion that the river is colored in different colors of the rainbow. It is best to come here from the end of July to December, when the river is particularly bright. In addition, here you can see 420 different species of birds, 8 species of primates and 10 special species of amphibians. Local people realized how attractive their land is for tourists, and now conduct a variety of excursions around.
