Outside the largest tourist airship does not look so attractive indeed, but inside it’s really a five-star hotel.
Airlander 10 has already received the nickname “flying ass”)) from almost all the Internet users, but those who get inside will at once change their minds. Such elegant interiors can be found perhaps only in expensive hotels and on cruise ships.
Airlander 10 is a hybrid airship, which was created in 2012 by the British company Hybrid Air Vehicles (HAV) for conducting reconnaissance. But the other day at the Farnborough Air Show a tourist project Airlander 10 was presented, which was developed in collaboration with the design bureau Design Q.
The cost of this luxury vessel is 25 million pounds (about $ 33 million). Its length is 92 meters, and its wingspan is slightly more than 43 m.
Airlander 10 is designed for 19 passengers, who will be able to stay in a separate cabin with a bathroom. In one of the lounge areas there will be sofas and a huge bar counter.
But the main feature of this airship is a glass floor that allows you to observe what is happening below.
“Airlander offers passengers to rethink their vision of the sky,” says Stephen McGlennan, executive director of HAV. “Air traveling has become the main way to get from the point A to the point B for the shortest period of time. Moreover we want to make journeys beautiful too.”
HAV has already received funding from the British government for the construction of the first tourist Airlander 10. The company estimated that the luxury travel market needs at least 500 copies of such air mean of transport.
