As long as I can remember myself I have always been dreaming about going to Europe to see the most beautiful capitals of the world. Rome, Paris, Prague, Vienne, Berlin…I always knew there would be a day and an opportunity for my lifetime dream to come true. I would say travelling could become my life’s biggest hobby except I hadn’t enough money for it. And that very day has come…
About two years ago I took my first trip to European cities like Prague, Paris, Luxemburg and Berlin. I had lots of impressions having wandered around biggest and most awesome capitals I could only dream about. As it often happens my first impressions of my first trip were so bright and memorable I couldn’t stay away from going back to travelling. Just about half year after that I took another trip leading me to Poland, Austria and Italy.
Poland has impressed me with the beautiful nature of the Carpathian Mountains. I visited Zakopane which is the most popular winter ski resort of Poland, but even in autumn time it’s great and breathtaking.
Wild nature of the Carpathian Mountains merges with the authentic Polish style village life. Krakow has beautiful squares with lots of souvenirs and chariotsready to ride you along its ancientnarrow streets. This is the place where you can taste the most delicious sausage and enjoy the performances of the people pretending they’re famous monuments. It’s the very time in the evening to walk along the Wisla River, drink beer and feed big gorgeous swans eating cookies right from your hands.
If to speak about Austria it impresses with the marvelous Alps. Innsbruck is the perfect place for visiting them by using funicular. There are several viewing platformsplaced at different height each of which shows the whole beauty of the city lying somewhere below the clouds. When you go to the capital of Austria Vienne be ready to feel its special gothic and royal spirit. It has lots of beautiful places to visit and galleries to see. But Vienne wouldn’t be Vienne without delicious coffee and famous apple strudel. You just can’t go away without tasting one.
Sunny Italy was next on my way. I must say the road connecting Austria and the state of hot guys and pizza is worth seeing itself as it lies between the Alps with beautiful rivers, awesome forests and long dark tunnels hackedright in the rocks. The most marvelous cities were waiting for me – Verona with its eternal story of Romeo and Juliette, Pisa with its famous falling tower, Florence with its gorgeous Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral, squares and bridges, Venice with its unforgettable channels, gondolas and lots of pigeons at the San Marcosquare.
And of course there was Rome with its famous history, squares, fountains, Coliseum, ice cream and pizza.
But first of all I would like to mention visiting Vatican as it was something special on my way. I was simply astonished by the beauty of the Saint Paul’s Cathedral and the square in front of it. But what is more I managed to see the Pope as it was Wednesday which is known as the visitingday. Benedict XVI was dressed in his white mantleand welcomedthousands ofparishionerswho have gathered together that day on the square. Vatican is the treasuryof the various amazing museums where the masterpieces created by Rafael, Michelangelo and other famous artists are kept. Most of all I was impressed by the view of the Sistine Chapel. It’s inconspicuousoutsidebut simply breathtaking inside.
And if by its time I was travelling alone,Rome has changed everything. Actually I need to say that Rome is the very place where you can easily meet your couple at least for a day as Italians are famous for their temperament and hot blood. Don’t be surprised if you hear compliments and whistling addressed to you especially if you’re a Russian girl. You’ll be called ‘a model’ and ‘a beautiful girl’. So the same was that time. But as I didn’t wish to get acquainted with someone right in the street I decided to find someone from Rome on the Internet. Site meets.com is perfect for this need. It’s the place where a man can find a girl for travelling together. So if you don’t have a mate and feel boring this is your choice. I remembered I saw a handsome man’s profile from Rome over there and tried to connect him. Actually we chatted online some day and my presence in his city could be helpful.
Next day we found each other on the Popolo square. He approached to me from behind and whispered in my ear if I were Nadia. I said ‘yes’. His name was Simone. A tall brunet with dark eyes around 33-34 years old. Simone suggested his route at once as there wasn’t anybody who knew Rome better than he. He showed me places I would never find myself as a tourist. We walked around beautiful gardens with nice panoramas at the city, ate pizza, laughed a lot and had lots of fun till the dark. I was impressed how easy Italians lying on the grass and kissing just in public. So he tried to seduce me that way.
I don’t know why but I wasn’t ready to kiss that man that night though he was quite persistent. We held our hands together and every time we stepped in some new place he tried to kiss me saying it was an Old Italian tradition and there was nothing wrong with it. We exchanged the stories about our nations exposingmyths and stereotypes and I got knew much more about Italy than I probably could without him for all my life. He took pictures of me on his phone almost all the time telling me how beautiful eyes I have. Simone was admired by my appearance and said I was very different from all the girls he has ever known. At last there was time to say good bye to each other as I had early morning bus to Venice and it was quite late. He saw me off to the subway and…we kissed. Now I was ready. Out meet was unforgettable I must say.
