“Fake” Dubai, “dirty” Venice and “dangerous” Los Angeles – in such a way the users of Reddit.com described the most popular tourist destinations.Egypt, without a doubt, is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. Someone comes there to see the famous pyramids, someone – for diving. Not to say that everyone leaves the country of the pharaohs disappointed, but among the most typical problems of Egypt is not so ideal service, mud in the streets and trickery in local shops.
Stonehenge, according to some tourists, looks much better in most advertising brochures. According to the travelers who visited it, Stonehenge is small, and it is almost impossible to see it closer: special tourist paths are equipped at some distance from the stones. So this excursion starts and ends far away from the place of Stonehenge location.
It is difficult to say what tourists expect from Los Angeles, but the city of angels often turns out to be “dirty and dangerous.” The most disappointing thing for many tourists is kilometers of traffic jams. The famous “Walk of Fame” is also not always encouraging: the impression is spoiled by numerous homeless people who do not mind sleeping for an hour or two there.
Dubai is called “false” and “unfriendly”: slums against luxury hotels and shopping centers are most striking thing for many tourists. And, of course, it’s “unbearably hot” there.
Paris is the most visited city in the world. Every year more than 32 million people from all over the world come there. The Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, Montmartre and other tourist joys are not disappointing. However, many people point out a rather hostile attitude of Parisians towards tourists.
“I could not order even coffee without the contemptuous look of the cafe employee,” complained one of the users on Reddit.com.
“A giant trap for tourists” is Venice. The funny thing is that tourists are irritated mostly by crowds of other visitors: because of them it is difficult to find a free table in a restaurant or cafe, many people complain on Reddit.com. It is interesting to know what then local inhabitants of Venice think of thousands of all these visitors.
The relatively undeveloped infrastructure and not too clean beaches of Bali do not allow to call this island a place of paradise pleasure, some travelers are sure.
