In the photos of the Russian Instigram blogger Nina Okhotina with the nickname Ninelly, the world sights look like scenery taken from a fairy tale story. For the project My Dress stories she chooses the most picturesque places and she is photographed against their background dressed up in very romantic dresses of different colors. Some of the outfits are sewn by the girl herself, trying to express her views on the nature, culture and traditions of this or that country. The traveler has already visited New Zealand, India, Scotland, Italy, Turkey, Georgia, Israel and Kazakhstan. The idea of the project came to Okhotina accidentally. She had been engaged in dancing since childhood, and she sewed her dancing costumes herself, and in her adult age she even created her own dance group. Planning a regular trip to Italy, she decided to make a beautiful photo in Venice.
“I found a red skirt at home among my dance costumes, which I once sewed for performances, and my mother’s white blouse, and already in Venice I bought a gondolier hat with a black ribbon. To take a great shot without any people at the background we had to go to the square at dawn.”

After arriving home, the girl was captured by the idea of taking pictures that would convey more than ordinary photos from her trips.
The girl began to be photographed in dresses on every trip, and before she traveled to Andalusia she thought out a Spanish-style costume and even found a skirt for flamenco:
“So that you understand the level of my enthusiasm – the skirt took exactly half of the large suitcase and did not even fit into the standard Ikea’s package!”

Now, any trip of Ninelle somewhere around the world is always followed by taking photos in dresses: in a few weeks before the trip she begins to think about the future image, look for ideas, go shopping for fabrics and accessories, and the night before the trip sews the dress.

The girl’s hobby turned into a lifestyle:
“Now I have just kilometers of fabrics at home, the mail box is filled with letters from designers, online stores, dress rental services. I forgot what it’s like to just walk around with a small purse and a cup of coffee, and not with a backpack full of jewelry, clothes, pins, clothespins and other helpers in creating the perfect frame. It’s hard to imagine that I used to travel, taking pictures on my iPod, and was happy with just a successful selfie.”
