They say that love can move mountains. A couple from California proved that love can also climb a mountain. And not any mountain, but the highest one – the Mount Everest. 32-year-old Ashley Schmieder and 35-year-old James Sisson decided that the traditional wedding ceremony is not suitable for them, and they decided to organize it on the highest mountain on the planet. As you might suspect, the epic nature of their wedding photos is off the scale. For almost a year, the lovers have been preparing for the expedition: climbing Mount Everest, you know, it is not a walk in the park. The photographer was chosen in advance, so that he could train with them and not give up halfway.
The trio flew to Nepal in early March.
Two weeks later they reached the mountaineering camp at an altitude of more than five kilometers.
There, Ashley and James dressed up their wedding gowns, flew in a helicopter to a steep rock and exchanged rings surrounded with snows and severe cold.
The duration of their kisses had to be limited in order for them not to suffer from oxygen starvation.
A very courageous couple, isn’t it?
