From Ukraine to France (real story)

Hi, everyone! My name is Anna, I am 27 years old and I am from Zaporizhzhya (Ukraine). I want to tell you a story of my first foreign travel. It was unexpectedly and very pleasantly because it was my old dream realization. And it was not just foreign trip to some new country, it was the travelling to … Paris!tumblr_inline_n6b6ahfkMB1qgp297But everything is in due order. I happened a year ago. It was September, warm and bright autumn. I got divorced two years ago before these events and had a 5-years old son. I was a manager in a big firm, had a photographing hobby and a lot of friends. I had a passport for traveling abroad but never use it.

This late autumn made a great present for me. During an outdoor photo session I got acquainted with a young man who was a friend of my clients for shooting. Alexander was a bright dark-haired guy with kind smile and I was charmed with him. For a few weeks Alex became my boyfriend. He was a travel agency manager and had travelled a lot. Our dates were unforgettable and full of understanding. I told Alex about my old teenage dream: to spent my birthday in Paris. A month had left. It was the beginning of December and Alexander proposed me to have a park walk, he said that he had got a surprise for me. And how do you think what it was? Yes! A week travelling to Paris!  I was on top of the world! Besides my birthday was on 5 days. Was it a coincidence? Nope! It was a real fairy tale!

il_fullxfull.517335361_9bh2I left the son with my parents, packed my things and went to my dream realization flew on the wings of love. The first flight in my life was easy and comfortable. And here it is – Paris! It was cold enough the middle of December but I was not notice dull weather, strong wind and rain at times – I was totally happy! I was blind with the city of my dream. The incredible Eiffel Tower – dream come true! It looks so majestically and impressive, so bright and eye-catching in the evening especially.  It was impossible for me to stop walking these unusual and interesting streets, shops, cafes… On the third day we went to Louvre Museum but there was a great number of tourists here.  Alex and I are not shy and pessimistic persons. A little English knowledge, communication with the guards at the back door and bingo! We are inside. I don’t want to describe Louvre exhibits (there are a lot of information on-line) but this place is on the second point in my memories after the Eiffel Tower.

By-Igor-PavloffOur magic week had passed fast. A lot of walk, excursions, funny cases in public places (our French limited to 10 words), unforgettable evenings and an immense amount of positive emotions, admiration and vivid photos. And my birthday celebration off course! I was eternally grateful Alexander for this magic!

I came back home refreshed, inspired and ready to move mountains. I was full of positive emotions and vitality.

That is my message: don’t be afraid of new things, new people and new facilities. Dream! And be sure – all your dreams will come true!

I do not say goodbye, because it was my first but not the last trip. To be continued :-)
