I'm Irish, lived in different parts of the world over the years, now divorced and struggling to make a living and write my first novel! Have suffered some painful breakups in my life, but hopefully have grown as a person from these maturing experiences. Was relatively successful materially in life until recently when both my wealth and good fortune seemed to dry up. I'm left with, hopefully, being a better person spiritually, but one with relatively few trappings of the ex-pat life I used to lead. Strangely, with much less in my life, I'm happier than ever before! Love to travel, but it has to be travel on a shoestring nowadays! Would love to find a travelling friend with similar interests to mine. I love reading, writing, exploring ideas, experiencing new cultures and sharing them.Not looking for a bedfellow, more a soulmate, or just a fun friend. I'm looking to explore more of the world, over time. You do have to be a positive thinker, independent-minded, with your wits about you. I don't have much patience for dumbness, whether real or cultivated! I'm looking for a real person, with a real enthusiasm for life, spiritual, educated, who dreams dreams and isn't afraid to act to make them come true! Probably your friends think you're a little crazy becos these type of things [still] appeal to you! Well, let's be crazy together and break some of the rules and conventions that stultify much of society today. I'm in excellent health. However, my current financial position means I still have to work, cannot go on months-long holidays and can't afford to finance you and stay only in 5-star hotels!
