10 reasons to visit the USA (Part 2)

We are continuing our tour around all the must-visit places around the USA. Hope you remember the places we visited yesterday in the first part of our trip to the USA?

This is one of the biggest countries in the world, one of the most powerful and most developed, so a lot of people dream about moving to the USA and live there. But for most people even a visit to the USA is just a dream, because a ticket there costs a lot and to get a visa to this contry isn’t a simple thing.

So, today we are going to cotinue our virtual tour to five more must-visit places in the USA.

6. Alcatraz

It is a small island in San Francisco. Previously it was used as a protective port and later it became a military prison. And in the 20s of the last century it has evolved into a federal prison for extremely dangerous criminals, all of them being housed on the island. Officially, no one managed to escape from this prison. But five people who tried to do it went missing. The famous Al Capone served time in this prison. Currently, the prison is used as a museum for tourists.

7. Pentagon

It is the largest office building in the world. Despite the fact that the US Department of Defense is located in this building, the Pentagon organises excursions for the curious tourists around the location. However, the tour should be booked beforehand. All you need to visit such an important building is your passport.

8. Madame Tussauds Museum

The popular museum of wax figures is located in Los Angeles. And it isn’t surprising because it is the city of movie stars and celebrities. In this museum there are visitors more per day than in the London’s museum. The opening time is until the late night (2am).

9. Disneyland (California)

It is every child’s dream to visit this marvelous place. This huge theme park is located in California. This is the first Disneyland park, built in 1955. Every year it is visited by about 15 million people. And since the time of its opening it was visited by 600 million people.

10. Chinatown San Francisco

It’s like a little China in America. The Chinatown, located in San Francisco, is the largest residence of Chinese with such density. Excluding China, of course. This district exists for more than 150 years. Now there are about 200 thousand Chinese citizens living in that location.
