Dance at The Beachcomber on Cape Cod
The Beachcomber is rollicking, old-school dance bar located right on the beach. It occupies the building of a former lifesaving station. After a couple of cocktails, the live reggae and rock tunes will help you feel yourself supercharged enough for dancing ’till the midnight or maybe even sprinting into the ocean.
MICHIGAN
The Shinola Store – a must-visit store during your visit to Michigan
Shinola aims to “reinvigorate the storied American brand”. So it manufactures high quality watches, bikes and leather goods. This store is situated right in the heart of the city. At their hipster-licious shop window, you can see different goods and even stand watching the bicycle assembly line.
MINNESOTA
Take a canoe trip to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area
The Boundary Waters Canoe Area is a place of a thousand individual lakes. This area is also known as the Superior National Forest that suits perfect for camping and hiking tours. Some remote lakes can be reached only if you paddle past marvelous pine groves and gorgeous rocks.
MISSISSIPPI
Listen to blues at The Lyric Oxford
The city of Oxford in Mississippi is full of noisy students. When you get tired of them or maybe need a break from the beer bars, choose the movie-theater-turned-concert-hall known as The Lyric Oxford. Firstly, this place served as a stable for William Faulkner’s family. Then it was used as a theater for performances and a bit later became a movie theater. In 2007, The Lyric underwent an extensive reconstruction and now it is used as a theater for live performances and concerts.
MISSOURI
Discover and explore the Ozark Caverns
When choosing out of thousands of Missouri caves, the Angel Showers is the one you must visit, no matter what. Its main feature is the water that constantly flows from the ceiling of the cave like a waterfall. During your cave tour, you might stumble upon a rare kind of salamander known as blind.
MONTANA
Drive along the Going-to-the-Sun Road
You can imagine yourself being a main character of some nature-themed IMAX movie who drives 50-mile dangerous road through Glacier National Park along Going-to-the-Sun Road.
NEBRASKA
Throw horseshoes during the Days of Free Popcorn in North Loup
Every year people in Nebraska gather for the festival to pay tribute to their state’s most prosperous crop – sweet corn. They celebrate this event for three days with polka dancing, turtle racing and bull riding. The biggest treat of the festival is UNLIMITED POPCORN for free!
