Singapore is a City of gardens and Lions

“I do not believe it – we are in Sin – ga – po – re! This is a true piece of heaven on Earth …” The journey starts at Changi airport. Without second thought I believe it’s one of the best airports in the whole world. From the welcoming smile of the staff to the organized structure that provides peace of mind to passengers from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave the airport. There is also a swimming pool for passengers seeking for relax before departure…images (5)Outside the airport beautiful trees and bushes give shade and coolness оn the highway from the airport to the business center of the city. The trees are growing into tropical coconut groves with colorful leaves and the amazing scent of these trees is the flagship of the city.

About Singapore you can write a lot, starting with the history of its name. By the end of the 14th century, the name “Singa Pura” was given, which in Sanskrit means “Lion City”. You could hear about Singapore that it is one of the most important business cities in the world, but nature lovers will discover an amazing wild life within, which they can explore during their stay.

Gardens-by-the-Bay-2One of the names of the Singapore is City of Gardens. Flowers are everywhere. Local people simply “crazy” about flowers and gardening. Singapore is pure tropical paradise with many world famous natural parks as Gardens by the Bay, Flower Doom, Cloud Forest etc.

Before my trip I thought that the closer you are to the equator, the warmer weather supposed to be. But the fact is, the weather is nice, not humid, temperature during the day around + 30-32 C, during the night around + 27-29 C.

One of my favorite activities was walking along the river in the Marina Bay. There, at the Singapore River in the Bay of Marina you can find one of the modern miracle – eight-meter high statue of Merlayona. This is a mythical creature with a lion’s head and tail of a fish that has become the symbol of modern Singapore.

We made our trip to this beautiful country to explore amazing nature and local cuisine. Shopping was not our goal, though there are a lot of malls with world famous boutiques and fashion districts. During our stay we enjoyed the atmosphere of the festival, the spirit of the Singapore you can feel in everything. Singaporean girls dancing in traditional dresses, talented musicians performing in street shows, unique architecture, variety of coffee shops and restaurants with traditional food these are the most memorable experience from Singapore.
