First time in Turkey or my memorable vacations in Kemer

Hi, friends! I have just returned from Turkey, Kemer =). I was there with my girlfriend. And now I would like to share with you my impressions of visiting this country. Before my trip to Turkey I have heard different opinions about how it will be. Somebody told me that it is a very popular country among tourists, but customer service there is at a very low level. Some people told me that Turks are rude and inhospitable. But I think that only some hotels and people can make such negative impressions.

As for me, in general, everything was great. I was pleased with the good service, moderate prices, clean sea, gorgeous mountains and the very hot and sunny weather.

kemerIf this article inspires you to visit Kemer, you should read about some tips for tourists in Turkey. Such tips can help you to enjoy the trip and even save some of your money along the way.

So, we started our journey on July, 22nd. As the majority of tourists, we arrived to the airport of Antalya where the representatives of our travel agency “Join up” were already waiting for us. About 10 minutes were needed for gatering all tourists who were coming to Kemer and we were on our way to the hotel.

The distance between Antalya and Kemer is about 47 km and it took us about 1 hour to get there by bus. It was my first time abroad, so I felt so excited starting with my first flight by plane and experience the nature of Antalya which I had the opportunity to observe on my way to the hotel. Palms, mountain peaks covered with white morning clouds, orange gardens, beautiful alleys with blossoming bushes – I fell in love with everything I saw around.

On our 1 hour way to the hotel, our travel agency guide started telling us about the country we arrived to, about their traditions and culture. Suddenly, I saw blocks of flats with big barrels on the roofs, through the bus window. Our guide told us that it’s a way to get hot water by using solar batteries that are attached near these barrels. So water is heated up thanks to the sun energy. So all year round they have hot water in their flats because it is a hot country and the sun shines most of the year here.

Finally, after passing gorgeous mountains and two tunnels, we got to our destination place. We booked a 7 nights tour in the first beach line hotel – Hydros Club. It overlooks the Mediterranean sea and has one big two storey restaurant, two swimming-pools – one for children and one for adults, tens of three storey bungalows and marvelous gardens with lemon, orange, pomegranate and grapefruit trees. Unfortunately fruits weren’t ripe yet.

The total territory of the hotel is very big and spacious.

The views there are perfect. Huge TahtalI Mountains (2365 meters the highest peak) seems to be so close to you when you dine in a restaurant. Oh, the food! Everything was so tasty. We had an opportunity to enjoy theme suppers. For the period of 7 days we tasted French, Chinese, Marine, Mexican, Italian, Turkish and American cuisines. Everything was extra delicious!

Our hotel had its own beach line, that is in 20-30 meters from our bungalow. All numbers had a view of the sea. The sea was very warm – around 28-29 degrees and I could easily see my feet standing on the bottom of the sea on very big pebbles. Yes, pebbles caused some troubles. As it turned out it isn’t so easy to get into the sea because stepping on pebbles sometime hurt quite a lot. And you can only dream about sandy beaches here.

But in general it didn’t spoil the general impressions of our journey. It was an exciting and interesting trip. You might want to ask me if I want to come back in Kemer again, I will answer – of course, I will! For me it was an unforgettable trip full of plenty of positive emotions. Hundreds of memorable photos and videos in my camera will help me remember every happy minute we had in that great place.

So, if you are going to visit Turkey and don’t know where to stay, I recommend you to choose Kemer! It is a place where everything is great – people, service, food and nature. What else you need on vacations!?
